A Sulphur Company Working on Sulphur Roofs

Drip Gutters, LLC is a local, family-run company based in Sulphur, and these are the streets we know best. For more than 10 years we have installed, cleaned and repaired gutters on houses, shops and offices in town. We also handle the yard drainage that goes with them, and we are fully licensed and insured.

Sulphur homeowners usually call when water spills over a gutter during a downpour, when a downspout empties against the slab, or when the yard stays soggy for days after a storm. Business owners call for the same reasons on a larger roof. Reach us at (337) 427-1203, Monday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

We show up on time, explain what we find in plain terms and do the job right. Reliability matters more to us than shortcuts, because a gutter system should keep performing long after the ladders are packed up.

What Sulphur Properties Need

The Gutter and Drainage Work Sulphur Calls Us For

Rain is the constant here. Sulphur's weather tracks the Lake Charles station, which averages close to 60 inches of precipitation a year, with June the wettest month.

Many Sulphur jobs combine two or three of these, since gutters and ground drainage work as one system. Tell us what you are seeing, and we will explain which fix fits your property and why.

Knowing Sulphur From Old Town to Maplewood

Sulphur takes its name from the sulfur mines that operated here in the early 1900s. The Brimstone Museum, housed in a former Southern Pacific depot built in 1915, still tells that story. Old Sulphur, Hollywood and Maplewood each have their own mix of homes, and we work in all of them.

Interstate 10 crosses the city with exits 20, 21 and 23, and U.S. 90 runs through the middle as Napoleon Street. That makes a job on either side of town an easy drive for our crew. Frasch Park, named for the mining inventor Herman Frasch, and the start of the Creole Nature Trail are both local landmarks we pass often.

Bayous wind through the low ground around Sulphur, and Moss Lake lies to the south. That wet setting is a big reason drainage matters here as much as the gutters themselves, and why we look at both on every visit.

Storm Season

Hurricane Season and Heavy Rain in Sulphur

Southwest Louisiana sees sudden downpours all year and a hurricane season every summer and fall. In August 2020, Hurricane Laura made landfall at Cameron as a Category 4 storm with 150 mph winds, and a KPLC report noted that no city in Southwest Louisiana was spared, Sulphur included. Hurricane Delta followed weeks later.

Storms like those twist gutters off the fascia, split seams and pack debris into every trough. Even an ordinary summer storm can overwhelm a clogged gutter quickly, sending water down the siding and into flower beds along the foundation.

After a storm, we look over the whole system: hangers, seams, downspouts, fascia and the ground where the water lands. Fixing the damage is half the job. The other half is setting the system up to handle the next storm, with the right downspout placement and a clear path for runoff away from the house.

Service Areas

Sulphur's Neighbors Across Calcasieu Parish

Sulphur sits about 9 miles west of Lake Charles, which puts most of Calcasieu Parish within easy reach of our base. Carlyss borders the city to the south along Louisiana Highway 27, and Westlake lies to the east past Mossville.

We also travel to DeQuincy, Jennings, Kinder and Lafayette, and across the state line to Orange, Texas. Wherever the job is, it gets the same care, the same clear explanation and the same attention to drainage that we give our neighbors in Sulphur. Starting each day from Sulphur keeps the drives to nearby towns short and our schedule dependable.

Sulphur FAQ

Questions From Sulphur Property Owners

Something else on your mind? Call (337) 427-1203 or reach out through our contact page.

Is Drip Gutters, LLC actually based in Sulphur?

Yes. Drip Gutters, LLC is a local, family-run business based in Sulphur, in Calcasieu Parish. The work happens at your home or business rather than at a storefront, and we are a 100% local company that has served Sulphur property owners for more than 10 years. Call (337) 427-1203 to talk with us directly about your gutters.

Do you work on commercial buildings in Sulphur?

Yes. We serve residential and commercial customers, so a business on Napoleon Street gets the same attention as a house in Maplewood. Larger roofs shed far more water, so we look at gutter capacity, downspout placement and where the runoff ends up before we recommend installation, repair or drainage work for the property.

My Sulphur yard floods after storms. Is that a gutter problem or a drainage problem?

Often it is both. Gutters that overflow, or downspouts that empty beside the foundation, add water to ground that is already slow to drain in this low, rainy part of the parish. We check the gutters first, then the grade around the house, and recommend gutter repair, downspout changes, a French drain or a broader drainage plan as needed.

Can you check my gutters after a hurricane passes through Sulphur?

Yes. After a named storm we inspect gutters, seams, hangers, downspouts and fascia for damage, including problems that are hard to see from the ground, such as a gutter that has pulled loose from the fascia board. We explain what needs repair now, what can wait and what should be replaced, so you can decide on the next step with clear information.
